The Path of Truth and Accountability

Among the Métis people, leadership is not measured by authority, but by example. True leaders walk the Sacred Circle with humility, honesty, meekness and courage. They recognise that the greatest strength lies not in dominance over others, but in mastery of self.

Over the next few days, I would like to offer a few reflections on the Sacred Path of Truth and Accountability, defining a few qualities that forge the character of those who would lead with honour and wisdom. I will also include a short affirmation for meditation and guidance.

Life is a continuous cycle of learning, correction, and renewal. The East calls us to dedicate ourselves to truth; the South purifies us through humility; the West sanctifies us through meekness; and the North consecrates our wisdom through accountability.

The path to greatness is not found in power, but in purity of heart. To face truth and to accept responsibility is to walk hand in hand with the Great Father and Mother, in strength, in grace, and in peace.
