Censoring Our Posts

 As some of you may be aware, the powers that be are censoring and removing some of our cultural posts.  Do not worry, we still maintain our cultural teachings, no matter how many techniques of cultural genocide they employ!

 

As I wake, long before the sun rises, my heart reaches out in prayer to my Heavenly Parents; How I long to visit with them again. I contemplate going to visit Them this morning, but then consider all that needs to be done for my loved ones today. There are many chores to be done, much work in which to engage. It is very cold today, so we need plenty of firewood. Extra care must be invoked when getting water from the well. At these temperatures, machinery easily can break. There are challenges in living this kind of life, which keep us very busy! When do we find time to pray? When do we find time to commune with the Lord in ceremony?

Then, the Spirit whispers: When done in the service of love, there is holiness in everyday work: in chopping wood; in fetching water; in sweeping floors; in preparing food with care. When done with care for our wards and fellows, this love shapes the heart and connects us to the Divine. This service of love does not remove our progress, it is our progress. It does not take away from our time in Ceremony, it is our Ceremony. It does not hinder our connection to the Divine, this love is our connection to the Divine.

The Sacred Way is found in the Service of Love and the Love of Service!

Offence And Forgiveness

When we walk the Sacred Road, we are advised to guard our hearts carefully. One of the greatest dangers to our spirit is taking offence. When we take offence, we invite bitterness, pride, and resentment to live within us. These things cloud our thoughts, disturb our feelings, and pollute our spirit.
It is true that we can forgive when we have been wronged. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. But, there is a way even higher, a way that keeps our spirit pure from the start. That way is to never take offence at all.

The Great Father taught us that those who walk close to Him have learned to let go before offence can even take root. To see others not as enemies, but as fellow travellers who sometimes stumble, just as we do. When we choose to take no offence, we need not have to forgive later, for there is nothing to forgive, because we never took offence in the first place.

This discipline is not always easy. There will be moments when we allow harsh words, careless actions, or misunderstandings to stir anger within us. But, if we pause, take a breath, and remember the love of the Great Father and Mother, how they never take offence at our weaknesses, then we will find strength to not be hurt in the first place.

Please, hear this well: The more offence we take, the more we do harm to ourselves; the more we harm ourselves, the more forgiveness we must give to others. The longer we wait to forgive, the more deep the damage we cause goes into us and the more distant we become from our loving Parents; and, the longer we remain distant, the heavier and darker our spirit becomes. But, a heart that takes no offence remains light, joyful, and close to the Sacred Fire; this is the only way to walk with the Great Father and Great Mother.

Walk this higher path. Keep your spirit free. And know that when you live in this way, the Great Manitou Himself will walk beside you.

Courage and Wisdom

 

From time to time, fear is an intrusive event on life’s journey. It whispers in the shadows, and on uncertain paths, and stirs within the uncontrolled mind.

Contrarily, courage is not the denial of fear; it is the act of controlling the emotions and thoughts, accepting fear's warnings and moving forward in wisdom and resolve. The courageous understand that fear can sharpen awareness and deepen wisdom, if they use it in it’s proper context!

In our spirituality, courage is a virtue, which aligns with the teachings of the South, which warms the heart and illuminates the way without distracting the seeker.

Fear may arise, but it must not lead. To press forward in courage is to reclaim mastery over one’s inner world. Each courageous act strengthens the spirit until the true nature of the Divine is revealed in us. Courage is built through small, steady acts of wisdom and resolve.

Never allow a simple feeling of fear to direct your path, instead use the wisdom of generations to lay out the path before you.

Passing On Our Culture

Culture is not merely genetic heritage, but instead the way we are raised! Culture is passed from generation to generation, not by sending the children away to be raised by others, not by letting them raise themselves, but by allowing the children to be with us, teaching them by example, how to navigate this world in the traditional way. By this do we pass on our traditions, our customs, our understanding, our connection, our spirituality, our culture!

A New Dawn

 

Each dawn is an invitation to renew one’s purpose. Greet the sunrise as an opportunity to push forward moving ever closer to Gitchi Manitou. No matter how difficult the past may have been, a new day offers a clean horizon. Each morning carries the spirit of new life; a commitment to live with intention, compassion, responsibility, and devotion. To stay true means to align our actions with the Great Father’s values, to work hard, to labour with integrity, to contribute positively to family, the community, and the world. Accept the dawn as a chance to elevate yourself and uplift others. When each day is treated as a blessing, life itself becomes a journey of continuous refinement, quietly, triumphantly overcoming all things.

How To Become A Successful Medicine Person

Have you ever noticed that all of the champions of different sports, or the top financial wizards, or even the most successful artists all give great motivational talks about what it takes to become the best? Have you ever noticed that all those talks contain the exact same principles of success?

To be the best, or even just to get good at something, a person can apply those exact same principles of success in their lives. It does not matter what area of focus a person has; those exact same principles of success apply! This means, those same principles of success apply to our spirituality as well!

A wise person would use those same principles of success in their journey to the Great Father and Mother. Use these principles to succeed, to progress toward our Heavenly Parents!

Stick With The Honourable

Be cautious about accepting the word of popular people, they will break their word for popular opinion.Be cautious about accepting the word of rich people, they will break their word for money.
Be cautious about accepting the word of famous people, they will break their word for more fame.
Be cautious about accepting the word of those who value peer pressure, for they will break their word under peer pressure.

Feel free to accept the word of honourable people, because they will never break their word.

Success is found in Honour and Integrity

 

Success is not found in money;
Success is found in honour and integrity.

Honour and integrity will give you friends you can count on;
Money will give you friends who count on your money;
as soon as the money is gone, they are gone.

Results Speak Louder Than Words

Success more often comes from quiet diligence far more than loud ambition. A person who boasts of his experiences and skills yet shirks his labour, his success is short lived. It is the one who through quiet diligence, steadily rising early, daily tending to details, and completing each task thoroughly minute by minute, who gains long term success. True growth is seldom dramatic; instead, it accumulates slowly through repeated acts of discipline. Talking about greatness may satisfy vanity, but steady effort builds a legacy that continues for generations; consistency always outweighs spectacle. Skill in any area of life comes through steady diligent practise. Those who are dependable, who show up in the every day, fulfill their duties faithfully without complaint gain the trust and respect of their boss and their fellow man. Work performed with patience and sincerity develops the person from the inside out. If you desire excellence, set your hands to the task and keep them there. Work quietly, work earnestly, and let your results speak with a voice louder than any boast.

Adversity In Live

There has always been, and there will always be, adversity in life! Hardship needs not crush a soul, but can temper the soul, creating an inner fortitude and resolve of which legends are made. Whether the trials come in the form of loss, disappointment, sickness, or uncertainty, each storm teaches self-mastery. The person who stands firm in difficulty gains a strength no peaceful day could ever impart. Therefore, embrace the storm when it comes. Rise up and be the legend you are meant to be!

An Easier Life?

 

Ease has never made anyone great. A smooth trail may offer comfort, yet it trains neither the muscles nor the mind. The wise cowboy knows that the Creator does not remove all obstacles but strengthens the one who must face them. In our teachings, the Great Father and Great Mother walk beside Their children, offering guidance rather than escape. Thus, instead of wishing away difficulties, one should cultivate resilience, skill, and resolve. Strong legs come from consistent effort; a steady hand arises from disciplined practice; a brave heart grows through trust, humility, and faith. These qualities turn the ordinary person into one capable of extraordinary feats. When one welcomes growth rather than convenience, the trail becomes a proving ground rather than a burden. So ask not for life to lighten the load. Ask instead to become worthy of the journey. Strength gained in struggle becomes strength for all seasons.

Sacred Things

 

Among the most important lessons we may pass to our youth is the understanding that some teachings, some experiences, and some moments in life are sacred. They are not merely precious or meaningful; they carry spiritual weight, ancestral memory, and the breath of the Great Father and Great Mother who guide us in love. To keep sacred things sacred is to treat them with reverence, patience, humility, and a heart that understands their purpose. It is to walk gently with knowledge that is not ordinary, but life-shaping.

The Power of Humility

 

Fear not, to admit fault! To admit fault is not to bow in defeat but to rise in wisdom. Humility is the soil from which all lasting greatness grows. When a leader humbles themselves before truth, they gain the strength to guide others with compassion and understanding.  Admitting fault reveals strength. To confess error demands courage, and to change one’s ways requires even more courage. Humility opens the heart to learning, and learning leads to mastery. Those who can kneel before truth shall one day stand taller because of it.

In humility, I find my greatest strength and my deepest peace.

Honesty And Truth

Just because we say something is true, or even if we fully believe it is true, does not make it true!

The road to improvement is long and uneven, yet truth clears it step by step. Each honest admission sweeps away the debris of pride, making way for progress. When we accept what is real, we cease to waste energy defending what is false. In the end, truth becomes both compass and companion on the journey toward excellence. As we learn to see and accept the truth clearly, we travel with lighter steps. The path of truth is the path of peace.

Truth clears my path; I walk it with patience and grace.

Honour And Accountability

 

Accountability is the highest form of honour. It reveals a leader’s moral strength and earns the respect of all who follow. To be accountable is to declare, “I am responsible for what I have done and for what I will yet do.” Accountability declares that we are mature enough to govern ourselves and strong enough to face correction. Those who practise accountability earn trust, inspire others, and build enduring strength of character. Integrity shines brightest when one takes full ownership of one’s actions. Such a declaration transforms authority into moral authority — the kind that inspires, not demands.

Honour grows within me through accountability and steadfastness.

Walking In The Light

Those who refuse the truth wander in darkness; those who embrace it walk in light. Even when the truth reveals uncomfortable realities, it grants clarity of direction and purity of purpose. To lead with integrity is to keep one’s steps in the light, unashamed and unafraid.

I walk in truth, and the light of integrity guides my path.

Truth is not what you think, truth is only the bottom line!

From Excuses To Bridges

Excuses are walls that separate us from growth by keeping us bound to the past; accountability builds the bridges that lead to progress. Each admission of fault rewires the brain to courage and wisdom. When we own our mistakes, we discover that failure loses its sting, for it becomes a teacher rather than a judge. Taking responsibility transforms the impossible into the achievable, allowing us to cross from regret to renewal, the true heart's desire of the Great Father and Mother.

Truth Is Liberation

To face the truth of our mistakes is not humiliation, but liberation.  There is no shame in confronting truth; shame lies only in denying it.  Those who accept full responsibility for their choices cease to live as victims of circumstance. The truth may be painful, but it cleanses the spirit, allowing it to rise. The children of Gitchi Manitou who embrace truth become beacons of trust and stability to all who follow.

The truth frees me; it is my ally, not my adversary.
